Palermo FC players and staff entered the Palermo F.C. City Football Academy, the new Rosanero sports centre in Torretta, for very the first time today. The team underwent their first historic training session in the new facility, which is still at a provisional stage: the two grass pitches, the clubhouse for meals with the new kitchen and a temporary structure fully equipped with a gym and changing rooms.
After breakfast in the club house, players and staff continued with a brief tour of the facilities and gathered on the pitch for a special greeting from President Mirri and coach Corini.
President Mirri said: ‘This moment is another important milestone in our club’s great history. A dream that becomes reality and changes Palermo FC’s path forever. From this moment on, we have the best possible conditions to work at our best and achieve our goals. This is our home’
In the meantime, under the direction of architects Chiara Mazzarella and Bruna Petracca, work continues fast on the main building which will be ready by the end of 2023 with new dressing rooms, a gym, warehouses, medical rooms for treatment and physiotherapy and a conference room, according to the project of Palermo FC management and the City Football Group.
