Palermo F.C. launches the new edition of the short master’s degree in “Sport Management”, the course of study created with the didactic-scientific collaboration of the University of Palermo, which aims to train new professionals in the sports industry or improve the skills already acquired with a sports management perspective.
The course, lasting three months, has limited places, will begin in September 2023 and is divided into eight lessons of eight hours each. It will range from sport marketing and sports communication to the basics of law and finance related to football clubs, through the contributions of some of the most expert trainers and managers in the Italian and international sports sector. Thanks to the contribution of high-level speakers and University professors, enrolled students will have the opportunity to acquire transversal skills on all disciplines of the study plan, through a theoretical approach – essential for understanding the dynamics of each macro-area – but also especially through case studies and practical applications, which account for the complex work that professionals in the sector carry out. At the end of each teaching (area by area) a project work based on real or probable cases will be assigned, which will be evaluated by a special commission: the most interesting ones will also be taken into consideration for any club development initiatives.
The course is open to all those in possession of a secondary school diploma and will take place ‘in presence’ at the Renzo Barbera stadium, or (upon express request) online via video-conference, with the possibility for all subscribers to listen to, or view for the first time, the meeting even in the following 24 hours after the live broadcast.
All candidates will also be allowed to access a training internship of at least two months within Palermo F.C., with the opportunity to have a first experience in the field and put into practice the concepts acquired and examined during the path of study.
