Jacopo Segre has won the Serie BKT MVP trophy for the month of January.
Called to vote, as always, were the journalists of the official broadcasters of the championship (Sky and Dazn) together with Rocco Nocita, editor and editorial director of the sportellate.it magazine.
Jacopo will receive the award on the occasion of the match Palermo VS Como, valid for the 6th return match day of the Serie BKT Championship.
Analyzing the Opta data on the performance of the Rosanero class of ’97 in the month of January, it can be noted how he is in the top 3 of the championship for having taken part in the most goals (three, the result of two goals and an assist) and is also the only player of Palermo to have been involved in at least three goals. Furthermore, no midfielder has hit the target more times than Jacopo Segre (four, equal to Gianluca Busio of Venezia and Marco D’Alessandro of Pisa). Among Palermo players, in the period considered, Segre is in second place for attempted shots in the league (five) behind only to Matteo Brunori.
Therefore, cross-referencing the reported data, the Italian midfielder’s scoring percentage is almost perfect.
Segre also stood out in terms of duels won (21), with a contribution to his team’s offensive maneuver of absolute importance: he is in fact the Palermo player who has made the most passes in the opponent’s half of the field (59) and one of the best in terms of balls played in the opponent’s area (10).
