Lega B is always alongside young people and their training. Just as it happens on the fields, with dozens of kids who grow every year in the Serie B clubs for the big national and international spots, study and reading are also fundamental components for the growth of the person. Being aware of this, President Mauro Balata has decided to support the #ioleggoperché campaign again this year, a project now in its eighth edition and capable of involving almost four million students and over 25 thousand schools through the donation of books to schools of every order and degree of its territory.
On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November, on the occasion of the 12th matchday of the championship, the captains of the 20 teams of the BKT Series will take to the field with a book and then hand it over to the children during the ceremonial event in midfield. A gesture to remind all Serie B fans to go to bookshops from 4th to 12th November to gift a volume to the school libraries of their city.
Balata himself underlines the importance of a project ‘which represents the largest national initiative for the promotion of reading, capable of bringing, in a process that has been going on for eight years, over two and a half million books to schools of all levels and degree. The partnership with a young championship that is attentive to their education such as ours was inevitable, because supporting this very important initiative means allowing many young students to come into possession of books that improve their critical ability and their approach to the world’.
The initiative in the pre-match of the 12th matchday will support a social campaign on the Lega channels, as well as messages conveyed by the official broadcasters and stadium speakers, as part of a larger communication project involving the Presidency of the Council of the ministers and the national channels Rai, Mediaset, Sky and La7 which will broadcast the dedicated commercial.
