The video campaign ‘This is where I belong’, which accompanies the start of the 2024-2025 Rosanero season, begins today with ‘chapter 1’, following the debut of the season ticket campaign and the home kit presentation event in New York .
This is where I belong, loosely translated into Italian as ‘Il mio posto nel mondo’, aims to identify the Rosanero passion as an ideal place to feel at home. No matter where we are, where we come from: our faith, represented by the Rosanero jersey, is where we belong, our place in the world. As long as we wear this jersey, we know we are in the right place, ‘at home’, whether it is the Barbera, a living room in Palermo or a bar on the other side of the world.
The first chapter of this tale is the story of Marco, a boy from Palermo who moves to New York and soon finds himself facing disorientation and loneliness in a city so different from his own. The rosanero jersey will help him hold on to his identity and indeed use it as a tool to positively navigate change and find a new equilibrium without ever losing the link with his roots.
It is a tribute to the hundreds of thousands of Palermitans and Sicilians who since the late 19th century have landed in America in search of fortune, bringing with them little more than a few garments. But thanks to the strength of their identity, they were able to build brilliant destinies, eventually generating the largest community of Sicilians abroad in the United States. To this day, that community is alive and vibrant, and the 9 July event in Manhattan celebrated it, representing all the Palermo people and fans around the world.
The campaign was designed by Palermo FC and the film production was entrusted to directors Riccardo Lupo and Nicola Bettoni, already active in high-level productions in Italy and internationally.
