The charity auction for the shirts worn by Palermo players during the away match against Catanzaro, played on Sunday 17 May, with the special commemorative patch dedicated to Alessia La Rosa, a young rosanero fan who passed away at just eight years old after battling cancer for much of her life, has officially launched today.

The auction will be available until 1 June 2026 on Palermo’s official eBay profile, and all proceeds will be donated to ASLTI ODV – Liberi di crescere, the Sicilian Association for Leukaemia and Childhood Tumours, which supported Alessia and her family throughout her illness and has been helping hundreds of children and their families in similar circumstances for years.

Through this initiative, Palermo FC wishes to renew its closeness to Alessia’s family and, at the same time, help raise awareness of the difficulties faced every day by all children with oncological diseases. The aim is to ensure that the great collective embrace shown to Alessia continues to become a concrete gesture of awareness and support for all the “Alessias” who, together with their loved ones, are fighting their own battle.

Active since 1982 at the Paediatric Onco-Haematology Unit of ARNAS Civico in Palermo, ASLTI works every day alongside children affected by oncological diseases and their families, offering free support services throughout the treatment journey. The Association’s activities include support in the ward and Day Hospital, play therapy, pet therapy, recreational activities, and psychological support programmes for young patients, families and volunteers. ASLTI ODV also manages the “Case ASLTI”, fully free-of-charge accommodation for families coming from outside Palermo who need to stay close to their children during treatment, as well as “NAVETTAMICA”, the free transport service through which volunteers accompany children and a family member from home to hospital and back, helping families face treatment with greater peace of mind.
