Palermo FC is attending the Social Football Summit 2025, the leading international event for the football industry in Italy, scheduled for Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 November at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Day 2 opened with the panel discussion “Is Football Content King in the Global Entertainment Race?” on the main stage of the event, featuring Gaetano Lombardo, Marketing and Communications Director of Palermo FC, and Roberto Monzani, Media House Director of FC Internazionale Milano, moderated by Antonella Arca of BuzzMyVideos.
The panel, which highlighted Palermo’s digital performance among the top teams in Italy in terms of content quality and distribution, showed how soccer is now a powerful driver of global entertainment: soccer clubs have become true media brands, capable of producing storytelling, emotions, and original content that can engage fans of all ages and backgrounds. The challenge is to compete in an increasingly crowded arena, where narrative quality and the ability to integrate digital platforms and languages become key factors in capturing the attention of an international audience and, at the same time, nurturing the community spirit that revolves around the club’s identity. A narrative that aims to bring everyone closer together, each with one another and all with their favorite team, from every corner of the world.
Last year, at the 2024 edition in Rome, Palermo was already the star of the event: the Club was awarded for the “Best effective and innovative campaign of the year in the football industry”, following the success of This is where I belong, set in New York, Manchester, Tunis, and Palermo.
Founded in 2018, SFS is Italy’s leading innovative platform for content sharing, networking, and training with the main global players in the football industry. Aimed at managers, professionals, and companies, the event explores crucial issues related to football, from technological and digital development to club management, innovation, and sustainability.
