Today, 1 November 2026, Palermo FC celebrates the 126th anniversary of its foundation. A history spanning generations, preserved in the memories of those who have been part of its journey and continually renewed by those who choose, every day, to be part of it. To mark this milestone, the Club has decided to pay tribute to its oldest season ticket holders, recognising their memories and experiences as an invaluable part of its identity.

For the occasion, Palermo invited its 10 oldest female and 10 oldest male season ticket holders to the Renzo Barbera Stadium to take centre stage at an unforgettable event: an exclusive birthday celebration alongside President Dario Mirri and Museum Manager Giovanni Tarantino, a historian and guardian of the Club’s heritage. Sharing anecdotes and memories from different eras, the 20 season ticket holders sat down together as strangers and parted ways recognising that they were all part of the same story: that of Palermo, a Club whose history has accompanied and intertwined with their lives over the years. They were joined by two other special senior supporters: Judge Leonardo Guarnotta, a member of the Anti-Mafia Pool and, more recently, of the advisory committee involved in Palermo’s rebirth, and Palermo-born actor Tony Sperandeo, who starred alongside Roberto Lipari in “Posto 22”, the short film produced for the Club’s 125th anniversary to celebrate the Rosanero passion passed down from generation to generation.

Celebrations for Palermo’s 126th anniversary will continue this evening during Palermo-LR Vicenza, scheduled to kick off at 7.30 pm at the Renzo Barbera Stadium. The same 20 season ticket holders will play a leading role in the pre-match ceremony, accompanying the players of both teams onto the pitch. To make this tribute to the Club’s history even more meaningful, the supporters will wear shirts from Palermo’s Retro Collection, created in collaboration with Copa, a Dutch company specialising in retro football clothing. The three designs recreate shirts from 1909 and the 1970-1971 and 1979-1980 seasons, symbolically bringing different eras of Rosanero history back onto the pitch at the Barbera. Alongside them, representing the younger generations, will be three young season ticket holders who share a special coincidence: they were all born on 1 November, the very same day as Palermo’s birthday.

In that moment, Palermo’s past and future will come together: generations separated by time, yet united by their connection to the same history. An image that captures the deepest meaning of this anniversary: a 126-year story that continues to live on in the memories of those who have experienced it and in the passion of those who carry its legacy forward, day after day.
