Today marks the launch of Pinkers, Palermo’s new fan engagement and rewards programme, designed to recognise and reward the many ways in which supporters take part in Club life, play, interact and show their support.
Pinkers is built around a broader, more immersive vision of fandom: supporting a team means maintaining an active relationship throughout the year. Fans can express their passion through the matches they attend, the content they engage with, the activities they take part in, the friends they bring into the community and the purchases they make. The programme is designed to increasingly recognise and reward these behaviours through a single, integrated experience, while continuing to expand the Rosanero family, with a growing focus on building Rosanero communities in Palermo, across Italy and abroad.
For the first time, Pinkers creates a physical and digital space that brings together online and offline activities to offer tailor-made experiences and rewards for those who want to make the most of their passion. At the heart of the programme is the official Palermo app, which now becomes a genuine hub featuring new games, initiatives and events that fans can enjoy while earning more and more benefits, redeemable in a variety of ways as they progress through different status levels.
Throughout the season, fans can earn points through:
- Participation – attending matches and checking in on matchdays, taking part in special initiatives, or simply enjoying new polls, predictions, quizzes, challenges, votes, competitions and other Club activities. Many of these initiatives do not require any purchase: taking part is all that is needed.
- Purchases – fans can link an eligible debit or credit card once and automatically earn points on qualifying purchases made at participating retailers, both in-store and online. Pinkers is also designed to develop over time into a network of commercial partners, expanding the benefits and promotions available to supporters. This ecosystem aims to involve local, national and international brands, creating more and more opportunities for fans to earn points in their everyday lives.
- Referrals – inviting friends to sign up and earning bonus points for every new supporter who joins the community.
From now on, Pinkers becomes the main gateway to all the Club’s special initiatives. Points can unlock rewards designed to bring supporters even closer to the Club, ranging from match tickets and merchandise to signed memorabilia, exclusive access and unique experiences that cannot normally be purchased. These opportunities will also involve players, both at the stadium and at the Palermo CFA, as well as through digital activities designed for supporters living far from Palermo. Experiences range from children taking part in pre-match ceremonies on the pitch to watching the warm-up from pitchside, or enjoying the golden circle experience to greet players near the dressing rooms after matches. Other opportunities include guided tours of normally restricted areas, priority access lists for in-person or virtual meet & greets with players, and access to limited-edition products and special collections available exclusively to Pinkers members.
“The relationship between Palermo and its supporters has always had the strength of a family bond, even across thousands of miles, wherever they may be in the world,” said Gaetano Lombardo, Chief Marketing Officer of Palermo FC. “With Pinkers, we wanted to give this family a name and create a platform capable of bringing us even closer together: supporters with one another, and each of them with the Club. Being part of a family means doing things together and sharing emotions. That is why we want to reward those who take part and fully embrace their passion. This innovation fundamentally and permanently transforms the way supporters and the Club experience their relationship every day.”
The technology behind Pinkers has been developed by SmartMedia Technologies (SMT), which created the platform and digital infrastructure to engage and reward supporters, connecting their activities across physical and digital touchpoints into a single experience. The integration of these services with Palermo’s ecosystem has also been managed by IM*MEDIA.
Pinkers is live from 8 October 2026, with new activities, challenges, rewards, experiences and partners set to be introduced gradually throughout the season. Supporters who join Pinkers by 31 October will receive an exclusive “Founding Member” digital badge, which will provide access in the future to exclusive rewards reserved for this special group of early adopters.
