An honourable defeat for Palermo’s Under-17s.
The team led by Cesare Bovo lost 2–3 to Como in their first-round play-off match of the Under-17 National Championship (Serie A and B).
The match took its course with Como taking the lead in the 6th minute through Arui, who found the net with a precise finish from inside the penalty area. In stoppage time of the first half, in the 46th minute, the visitors doubled their lead through Boccia, who scored with a curling shot from the edge of the box. Early in the second half, Como scored their third goal, netted in the 49th minute by Lembo with a tap-in from close range following a free-kick. Palermo responded and pulled one back in the 54th minute through Bertolino, who scored with a precise right-footed shot from the edge of the box, before finding their second goal in the 74th minute, again through Bertolino, who was the protagonist of a solo run. In stoppage time, the rosanero came close to an equaliser, but Como goalkeeper Bensì was decisive with a double save from Bertolino and Sciortino.
