The team led by Cristiano Del Grosso drew 2-2 against Benevento in the 18th round of the Primavera 2 Championship.
The deadlock was broken in the 24th minute when the baby Rosanero took the lead thanks to Brancato, who was ready in the box to beat the opposing goalkeeper in a scramble. Palermo doubled the lead at the end of the first half: in the 44th minute, Avena finished off a well-executed counterattack by Del Grosso’s team. In the second half, Benevento reacted and reduced the deficit in the 68th minute with a goal from Miranda. Five minutes later, in the 73rd minute, Miranda scored again with a header from a corner kick, making it 2-2.
